Pascal Achale is the esteemed Founder and Senior Consultant of PK Strategies (PS), bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the field of human services. For almost 10 years, Pascal worked as a Child Intervention Practitioner and Child Intervention Casework Supervisor for the Government of Alberta, Pascal possesses a diverse background in social work, education, leadership, and research. Pascal Achale is a scholar-practitioner with extensive experience in the social services sector. He spent many years working as a child welfare practitioner in both British Columbia and Alberta, Canada. Pascal’s commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals and families has been evident throughout his career. Pascal holds a Bachelor of History and a Bachelor of Social Work with a specialization in Child Welfare. He has furthered his academic pursuits with a Master of Arts (MA) in International Relations and a Master of Science (MS) in Leadership. Currently, Pascal is dedicated to advancing his knowledge through a Ph.D. program in Human Services, focusing on Social and Community Services. Pascal’s Ph.D. research centers on exploring the leadership experiences of human services leaders in multicultural and diverse workplaces. His commitment to advancing knowledge in the field underscores his dedication to driving positive change within the social services sector. Known for his humble, transformational, and servant-leadership approach, Pascal Achale embraces a multiplier leadership style. He prioritizes the growth and development of his team members while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Justine Seliwah. BA, BSW, MA, MS, RSW

Co-Founder and Director of Programs

Justine is a dedicated Registered Social Worker (RSW) in Alberta, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as Program Director at PK Strategies (PS). With a strong educational background and a passion for advocating for vulnerable individuals and communities, Justine plays a crucial role in overseeing the delivery of programs and services in collaboration with partners and contractors. With over 10 years of experience, Justine has been a steadfast advocate for supporting vulnerable individuals and communities, particularly those with developmental disabilities. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to advocating for the rights and well-being of children, youth, families, seniors, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Justine holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), providing her with a solid foundation in understanding social dynamics and community needs. Additionally, she has pursued advanced studies, earning a Master of International Trade and a Master of NGO Studies, further enhancing her knowledge and skills in advocating for marginalized populations. Justine’s expertise spans a wide range of areas, including youth justice, support for marginalized and racialized youth, and the promotion of equality and human rights for all. She is a vocal advocate for workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, actively participating in programs aimed at fostering a more inclusive and equitable work environment. As Program Director at PK Strategies (PS), Justine plays a pivotal role in ensuring the timely delivery of programs and services to clients. Her collaborative approach, coupled with her strong advocacy skills, enables her to effectively engage with partners and contractors to meet the diverse needs of the community.

 Cynthia OjongTambia. Nursing Diploma, HCA

                  Care Manager

Cynthia has many years of experience working as a nurse in hospitals and as a Health Care Aide in private homes and community long-term care residential facilities. She is primarily responsible for assisting clients and their support systems in maintaining the highest possible level of independence and functioning in the least restrictive environment within a rural community setting. Additionally, Cynthia supports and orients professional contracted staff and community and personal support services staff to ensure the effective coordination and delivery of client-centered services within a continuous quality improvement environment.

Divya Sharma. BA, BSW, RSW


Hi, I’m Divya, a Registered Social Worker (BSW) specializing in mental health and addiction. Currently pursuing my Master of Social Work at the University of Waterloo, I bring extensive experience to my role. As a mental health therapist at Alberta Health Services, I deliver compassionate interventions and equip individuals facing mental health and addiction challenges with essential coping skills. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Palliative & oncology care, and Emotionally Focused Therapy.  In my practice, I conduct comprehensive assessments, offer provisional diagnoses, and administer tailored treatment plans. Crisis intervention, clinical consultation, and case management are integral to my approach. Collaboration with clients, treatment teams, and families is paramount to ensure effective treatment strategies. I am dedicated to empowering clients on their journey to recovery, providing education on mental health issues, and facilitating access to relevant resources and services. Through crisis intervention and outreach stabilization services, I aim to offer immediate support during challenging times. As an advocate for my clients, I work diligently to address their needs and concerns. Additionally, I foster strong partnerships with external agencies and organizations to facilitate seamless referrals and access to additional support networks.

Jennifer Stevens. BA

Office Administrator

Joining PK Strategies (PS) in 2023, Jennifer brings with her many years of experience in administrative roles within the social services sector. Her expertise in office management and administrative duties has been instrumental in supporting the operations of healthcare and service delivery organizations. As the Administrative Coordinator, Jennifer is responsible for maintaining office services by organizing office operations and procedures. Her main duties include: welcoming and directing visitors, coordinating meetings and appointments and performing clerical tasks, like answering phones and responding to emails. She also completes operational requirements by scheduling appointments and assigning work to our associates.
